"Good" is all a matter of opinion. Personally, i dont think either of those turbos is going to be a great unit for your LS/VTEC. What are you trying to accomplish??

not too sure about the volvo turbo but my buddy has an eclipse T25 on his b18 and it likes to fall off around 7000. if your not looking for huge HP numbers its OKAY. its better than not having it on, but hes running the turbo way out of its efficiency range and its soon to take a crap as its already starting to whine less than 6 months later. but in my eyes it was a good cheap way to get into turbo's. get the feel for it and what not. that way your charge pipes and stuff are already run, just bolt on a bigger turbo that runs the t25 flange (as there are tons of options) when the lil one decides its had enuf. and most importantly get it tuned properly by someone that knows what they're doing.

It all depends on how much power you are trying to obtain. The stock 14b will net you in the neighborhood of 200-250whp maybe more. You could do a Evo3 16g and have an easy 300-350+whp setup and something that'd spool up ridiculously fast.

Honda cylinder head CFM efficiency will net about 260whp at most for a 16g. Hondas unlike other makes don't like the backpressures that those turbos give on unlike the 4G63. it's not a DSM, don't treat it like one.

It depends on WHICH eclipse you get it from. The 1g DSM's use the 14b - there is one particular person here who made 240whp on a D16 (and it had a bad cylinder). There are also other examples that made over 200whp with decent spools. THe problem is you spent all that money on the VTEC head, but want to run a tiny turbo. The LS head would have been better for your goals, which seem to revolve around low-end and tiny turbos.

You really need to go and search some past threads and do some research on what setup you actually want. Then go to the classifieds and price out turbos based on the size you pick.

Why to people get so hung up on the psi?

You need a hp goal and then piece your turbo set up around that.

You also need to consider if you want a fast spooling turbo or something that comes on harder later and has a better top end.

Go do some research as there is so much info on this site.

Unfortunately thats common for those that have never boosted before and think there's a direct relationship between power and pressure for all turbos regardless of size. It does get rather bothersome.
