H22 in civic??? HELP!!
I never seem to get a good answer. Ok here's the problem. I got a Fully built turbo H22 in a 97 civic. Been trying to start the thing for a week now no dice. Kinda figured out the problem came down to my distributor. My distributor worked fine before. I used to drive the car everyday using that distributor. I put it on my new setup and it only gives off spark now and doesn't give off a pulse to fire the injectors. So the shop tells me that my distributor is junk I say ok go to my Buddy's house and yank his off his setup which was a running setup might I add give the shop that one. The shop puts that one on and says that it doesn't give off any spark its junk too. So then they take them both apart and make 1 put it back in the car now there's no tach signal wtf? Oh and the shop that built my wire harness swears up and down that its not in the harness and that they triple checked it. The car has been there for 3 weeks now I want to drive the bitch before there is snow on the ground ya know anybody got any clue as to what it could be?

Speedquest is a performance shop in IL. They need the motor there to do it. My Buddy's have sent their harnesses out to Hasport before and never had any problems. I think Hasport charges something like 350 to do it. I hate wiring stuff otherwise I would do it myself there is enough information on Honda tech to do it yourself too you just gotta search
I would have to say that sounds like a wiring issue if you lost the tach signal. And I actually have a question for you. I am in the process of doing the same swap. What axles did you use?
teg axles or you can find h series swap axles on ebay too. thats where mine came from. they are easy to find. Search H series swap axles at google and you will find the right ones
Well when I first did the swap back in the day I just went with Hasport swap axels. But depending on which mounts you go with are going to determinate what axels you need to get. For example Hasport made two different sets of mounts for the 96-00 civic with a h swap. Each set places the motor a little different. Ive been there I used to blow out axels all the time because they kept binding up on me. Im going through the same **** right now I bought Drive Shaft Shop 2.9 axels this time around and I got to send the back because the drivers side shaft is too long.
