Default full race downpipe ground clearance w/ first gen hasports

I have one of full race's complete kits and I have to say I am not impressed with the 3" down pipe's ground clearance. I have omnipower full body coilovers and they are currently on their highest setting. I have already dinged the down pipe and i don't even have 250 miles on it.

Anyone know if the older hasport mounts(silver with orangish red bushings) sit the engine lower, higher or the same as the newer billet style?

here is a pic:

could you take it to the exhaust shop and get it shortened a bit?

looks like its going to have to be modified, I am just surprised full race didn't get better fitment... i mean its a $4k turbo kit.

anyone else with a full race 3" downpipe have issues?

anyone know about the older hasports?

What's the oil pan clearance like?

I have a full 3" DP (custom one) and made it hug the oil pan fairly close. It looks like you have alot of room between the pan and DP.

I would say that's your problem, not the mounts.

I assume you have a b16 engine not a GSR. Its designed with a b18 engine in mind.

Good point, B16 oil pan is like 1.5 inches shorter

is it? i thought it had more to do with the height of the b18 head

Nope, the b18 blocks are larger. If they assumed you had a b16 engine and designed the Dp accordingly and it turns out you had a b18 you would really be pissed. the DP would sit on the bottom of the oil pan.

No but I have a pal that works there. I use only FR turbo manifolds if that makes you feel any better.
