i have a 97 civic ex with b16a2 swap but i still have the stock ecu witch is a p2p i was looking for an upgrade.....some one told me to get a pct witch is a type-r ecu....witch one would you guys think is better?

 

Do you have your car upgraded to the point where you need to mess with the tune?

 

not really it just redlines at 75k....and vtec kicks at 6k...

Not quite. The ECU the OP needs comes from a '96 - '97 Del Sol vtec due to the fact that '96 - '98 civics are OBD2a and '99 - '00 are OBD2b (the plugs are different between them, P2P will work through the use a of a jumper harness though.)

 

i say jumper harness for obd1 and then get a p28 with a none ebay chip
