Default Fitment problems with max-rev manifold and 60-1

I just started to install my new turbo set-up this afternoon. Everything looked good before i tried installing the manifold/turbo on the block. I cut the tranny knub off, and semi-mounted the manifold/turbo onto the block. Now the 60-1 that i recieved has the 4" inlet, which most do (some have the 2.5" inlet). I am now hitting the slave cylinder with the inlet of the turbo. I have no idea what i can do short of taking the slave cylinder off, grinding away the bleeder and welding it shut. Newsdriver was running this identical set-up and from the pictures it looked like his fit without problems. I am at a loss, anyone that can give me some kinda help with this i would appreciate to no end!

Hey,

Is this on a b18c1 engine?
Try taking the slave cylinder off and putting the manifold and turbo on, than bolt up the slave cylinder....

My slave cylinder is very close to the turbo housing but it doesn't hit...

Be carefoul of what you are doing you don't wanna cut something or modify it and than not be able to go back and fix it...

This is on a b16a engine/trans. I will give that a shot real quick and see what happens.

Thanks!

By the way another thing I did to move the turbo and manifold forward a little bit and is put two mr. gasket exhaust manifold gaskets on.

I just got tired of shaving material off of the block...

Let me know what happens..

Still doesnt fit at all. I am not sure if there was some kinda difference between our manifolds or what, but it isnt going to fit. My turbo doesnt sit in towards the block as far as your does, and that is directly related to the manifold design. I have no idea how this turbo is going to fit now, i dont want to have to sell it and get another one. I have waited three freaking months already!

Can you give me a better explenation of this??? Did you shave off enough material? cCn you show me what you mean using my pictures, here is my album of the turbo not fitting...

From picture 82 to 85 are all the images of the turbo not fitting...

If you can use photoshop and draw the differences for me...

I have two pictures of the turbo to illustrate what i am talking about. I have no idea how to host them so everyone can see...I am internet illiterate. I can email them to you so you can see, if you know how to host them that would be great.

Ok here we go here is the pictures and links if you want them bigger....

All I can say is that from the pictures it doesn't look that bad but i would just try filing down that master cylinder little by little until the housing clears other than that there is nothing else really that you can do about that....

The difference lies in each of your blocks. Remember, the B16 block is several mm shorter than the B18C. Thais would explain the difference in fitment issues.
