Default Moroso pan...proper oil level?!?

I got the Moroso oil pan, and i just checked my oil level and its read about half inch above the 2 little dots on the dipstick. Is this too much? or should it be ok cause the pan holds about 5.5 quarts.

This could be the problem on why my car is smoking if so...please help a brother out.

Its going to be a little off, same thing with my moroso and my oem stick. I always just make sure the pan is fulled drained and dump 5 quarts in and just a little more from the 6th quart and roll with it.

how do you guys do this? I have the same pan and after 4 quarts it starts leaking out the oil drain and starts backing the turbo up.

The oil level is also over my return bung on my pan, but I am pretty sure when the engine is running the oil level is below the return bung, which would not cause any issues. I know a bunch of people that run these pans with no turbo failure due to the extra oil.

I agree with that. With my stock pan, oil level is over my return bung. When running I have had no issues at all. Also as long as your turbo outlet is higher, you should have no problems.
