Del Sol Wont Start (searched)
Ok, I have a 94 del sol Si that will not start yet. Sat for a few years before I got it about 160,000miles.
Right now here is what I've got. I cant hear the fuel pump prime. Inside the dash lights up but everything stays lit. Including the check engine light, It will not turn off. Checked and replaced fuses 12, 18, and ACG just to be safe. It is getting spark but plugs are always dry. Again pointing to the fuel pump or main relay. I am planing on checking those tomorrow. Any hints or tips there? Anything else that I should check? I have a feeling that it might be electrical since the radio and other electrical accessories will not turn on.
Fuel tank was dry and I put fresh fuel in. Fuel filter replaced. I keep hearing about a thermostat ground but I don't understand.

Yeah, try resoldering the main relay. It's a common problem.

Yes, possibly. Pull the CEL as detailed here:

Post the code for more feedback.

I was reading that the CEL staying on like that might be a sign that the ECM went bad. How can I find out? I don't have another ECM or know anyone else with a del sol
Ok, so far... power straight to the pump = nothing. The pump is dead. Voltage to the pump wires only when I jump the conection because I got nothing with the relay. So the main relay will need some attention.
I cannot pull the codes at all. The light stays soild no matter what. I tried jumping with a piece of wire. Nada. Then a paperclip, nada. I tried both with and without the main relay in the car and got the same results.
Compression is 130 all around. So I used a straw to drop a little oil into each cylinder. I was always told that it helped compression on an engine that had been sitting when I worked on aircolded porshces.
The main relay failed the contuity tests in the how to on repairing the relay = toast

Ignore the CEL until you fix the fuel pump and main relay problems.
Make sure that the main relay is getting constant power and also power with the ignition key turned to ON (II). If not, check for blown fuses.
Compression seems fine as all cylinders gave the same pressure reading.

Bad thermostat ground (follow lower rad hose to where it goes into the back of the block, you'll see a ground right there. sometimes the ground is corroded and sometimes the wires half break where the ring terminal is crimped on) bad main battery ground. bad ECU. thats about all i can think of off the top of my head.
