obd1 b16a2 swap into a 94 del sol si
i know, search, search, search. i have and have not found what im lookin for. i need a step by step diy. i want to do the swap myself 1 to save $$$ and 2 to expand my knowledge of my car. if i had instructions i would be more than capable of dong it myself.
i have found diy s, how ever they are not very helpful because they are either not specific enough or 2 they have no pics.
i dont need any of the posts such as search for ur self and blah blah blah, find it your self blah blah blah. if you cant help dont post.
thanx in advance for any legitimate posts.

Do you have access to a good shop area and tooling, and some buddies who can help. It only takes a weekend if you have all the parts and some decent help. The OBD1 SiR engine will be a direct bolt-up as you had the D16 VTEC engine in your Del Sol. The existing engine harness will work, again as the car was VTEC to begin with. You will need a hoist/ cherry picker, the basic tools and air tooling. Ensure you have new hub nuts, you can't reuse the old ones safely, and make sure you mark all of the hardware as you take it out of the car, so you put it all back in properly. The T bracket for the tranny mount ( rear of the engine assy, ) and a B series Del Sol A/C bracket will be needed( if you have A/C and want to keep it). The shift linkage will need to be a B series on as well. Your D series exhaust will bolt right up, and no need to retrace O2 wiring! Any wet lines ( brakes, power steering, clutch and A/C) should be left in the car, as in do not cut or break the lines, unless you have the fluids and skills to restore them. Rather, dissconnect them from the block/ chassis and move them to where you have clearance to work. Other than this advice, have patience, have fun, and enjoy the new set up.
