Default ECU question

If I got the 99-00 B16A2 and it's OBD2 with a P2T ECU should there be a problem using that ECU to connect to my OBD1 civic si??

Is there anyway that I can tell if my chip was in fact chipped or not?

isnt a p2t ecu a 99-00 civic si obd2 ecu??? if it is and im sure it is, or even if it wasnt, no one can chip an obd2 ecu.. get a p28 (92-95 civic ex, si 5spd) ecu and have it chipped and get wire harness for the best performance.. there are several people that can chip it, and you if you open the ecu you will see the new chip on the board..

You cannot chip an OBD 2 ECU. You can check to see if it is chipped by opening up the ECU and there should be an extra chip around one of the corners. The chip is about one inch, by half an inch. It might have a name on the chip.

It's a P28 chip I have.. please disregard everything else I wrote.. all I wanna know is how can I tell if it's been rechipped? The guy said he reprogrammed my P28 and I wanna know if there is anyway that I can confirm that for myself.

NO no no! You do not have a p28 chip. The p28 is the stock single cam vtec ECU out of a 92-95 civic ex coupe, or 92-95 hatch si. A reprogrammed p28 is a p28 ECU with a chip in it. Scroll back up and I already told you how to check it. All you need is a screw driver and one eye.
