Default Coolant Temperature Help!

My car running hot. My coolant temperature guage reading little above 1/2 mark. Before i installed my AEM Cold Air intake system it was reading little below 1/4 mark. i tried reseting my ECU & disconnecting my battery but still did not work. my radiator has lots of coolant its level is max including the extra tank(using Honda coolant). after a SIX mile drive i get out of the car and pop the hood before i TOUCH the hood latch i feel tremendous amount of HEAT so hot burns my hand. anyone know how to lower your coolant temperature? i want the coolant temperature needle gauge to go back down to 1/4.

help please! my last option is taking the car to the shop.

check that tour thermostatnis working correctly, check for a clogged radiator. Is your fan working? Try not to drive your car until you get it running in normal temps. You could do more damage to your motor and then you'll have bigger problems to worry about.
