there is also products you can buy that you spray or pour into fresh air pickup that kill all the mold and mildew and work wonders. I used it, cant remember which brand, and it worked exceptionally well. I am about due for round 2 of it. If I find the stuff, I will let ya know. Many variations out there though.

cheers

Try spraying the vents in front of your windshield and inside with Lysol

You may have a mouse nest and all the string, lint, paper, acorns etc. trap water. Is your blower making a whirring sound yet? I have had this happen multiple times in my 89 Civic, Loyale and 98 Impreza. The systems are pretty much the same. The moisture will settle in low spots. In the Loyale the birdseed and acorns were packed so tight that I took out chunks with tongs. It looked like granola bars. That was down behind the radio, not near the blower. The blower ends up looking like cotton candy with all the crap. Get in there with rubber gloves, a vacuumn, hair dryer and mask and Lysol like the other said.

that is where it was in a 89 Civic. take a droplight, stubby phillips head and the other listed stuff. do not have your face under it.

I had that stink smell in my old '90 Accord; Lysol into the vents worked well. Bleach would probably work better though.
