Default iacv question

I have obd2 (98) gsr motor running on a obd1 p72 and need a new iac valve. My question is can I use any year iac valve off any b series, for example 90 b18 iacv?
Just wondering because there is always a da or two at the junkyard.

Please help if you know, thanks.

it should work as long as the bolt holes match up and the plug for it matches up... make sure it's a 2 wire IACV whereever you're pulling it from

there are 2 obviously different iac valve that honda used, the only difference is the bolt pattern, you will be able to tell the difference easily

Looking them up on http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org the obd0 will not work (differ bolt pattern), but the obd1 and obd2 look the same but have different part #'s.

the OBD2 ones serve more than one purpose vs the OBD1 ones
