I just failed the smog test in Portland. I have 90 crx. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to correct this? Thanks.

Sorry. The only thing I failed was the HC. I was too high by about 225 or so. I don't have the numbers in front of me.

if it is hc then that means u are getting unburned fuel down your pipe i would first invest in a new cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs and air filter for a cheap way out the second thing i would look at is the cat and how old it is

Well, the plugs, wires, and air filter are all brand new. I imagine that the cat is original however. Also, should I just purchase a whole distributor or can I just get the cap and rotor? Thanks

Hey man, thanks for all of the help. I have two more questions. First, how do I tell if the cat is bad, and second, is there any way to tell if the rotor and cap are actually bad or should I just go ahead and replace them?
