Default OBD2 block in OBD! car?????

my car is a 94 hatch with a B16. im pullin the block and switching it for a OBD2 GSR block. The GSR block has the crankshaft sensor by the pulley, can I just take that off because OBD1 doesnt use that sensor, also it has a knock sensor on the block and my OBD1 ECU doesnt even read a knock sensor. Also is there anything else I should know before I swap blocks? Any help is appreciated

you'll have to get a jumper harness to run the OBD2 motor with an OBD1 ECU.

you don't need the knock sensor plugged in if you got it turned off on your ecu. Just find a obd2 gsr engine harness and it'll plug right up to your hatch, you will just need to do vtec.

just plug it in, if it doesn't use it it wont read it.

dude all these guys are dumb when you put your b16 head that is already obd1 on that obd2 gsr block it will be a obd1 gsr that has a crank angle sensor that is not needed just use the stock harness you have to answer your original question yes you can just un bolt the crank angle sensor from the block
