Default turbo crank shaft

in the future i want to build a poor mans type r turbo (b18c1 bottom end and b16 head) and i was wondering what crank would be better to use a ls crank or a gsr crank both made by eagle and they both way 27pounds and im looking to fully build this motor to make 700whp and i would like to get as much torque as a can but i dont know if the eagle ls crank could handle the high revs and be reliable

I would go with an OEM LS Crank. I've seen the infamous pics of Eagle crank failure...

if i wouldnt have gotten charged a 25% restock on my rods to switch to ls, i would have used an ls crank. because i already had gsr rods.

if i had it to do all over again, i would do ls.

It's not going to matter much, the small extra bit of stroke is nice with the LS but it's so minimal I can't see a back to back setup at moderate power seeing too much of a change.

The LS' do have wider journals though.</TD></TR></TABLE>

is there a problem with the ls crank having wider journals will it fit in a gsr block with out problems/mods?
