What a crack-*** post. Lose top end because of the LS crankshaft? No. Go search for some results people are having with K-series motors. Seeing BIG gains everywhere swapping from an 86mm to a 99mm crank (K20 to K24). How do you figure he's going to lose some top end power by having 1.8mm more stroke? Way to pull that one out of your ***

just run an LS crank inside a GSR block. You will have to use LS rods and Pistons also
you will make good power... also be sure to use the GSR main caps and girdle and you wont have a problem reving it high

are you running a sleeved block or stock sleeves? If stock dont go bigger than 81.5.....yes you can use wisecos and eagle rods just make sure they are for a LS

If you look at dynos the gsr crank give you the best all around results, it been proven. but if you use a ls crank you have to get rid of the oil squrters witch help lube the motor at high rpms. thats why you should use the gsr crank....

That's interesting I thought that most people blocked the oil squirters in built motors because they are unneeded and if you block them you increase your oil pressure everywhere else. Am I confused??

No reason for squirters if you run forged slugs.

So what are these guys using to plug them? Anyone else have any input? I would like to know myself as I am building a GSR bottom end. Sure you might gain some oil pressure but is it worth it?

It took me only a few seconds to do a search in the archives using "plug squirters" that produced three threads mentioning the Golden Eagle squirter plug kit. Its about $15.
Last time today I spoon-feed anyone information that is so easy to find. . .

so where are these dyno's you speak of?
the squirters are not there to lube the engine. they spray at the underside of the pistons.
