B16A LSD S1 Tranny questions. need help!!!!

Default B16A LSD S1 Tranny questions. need help!!!!

hello. i have a 88 CRX with a JDM B16A with a Jackson Racing Supercharger pushing 8lbs. a Zdyne ECU and many other mods. but my question lies with my tranny. i have a LSD S1-1004000 tranny and my syncro's are going out in 3rd and 4th gears. now i am trying to figure out whether i want to rebuild my tranny and fix the syncro's or just get a new tranny but im not sure where i can find one and whether the gear ratios would be different. and im not sure which tranny would be better if i couldent get another S1. but as of now my gears are super short and i can only go 140 mph at 8,000 rpm in 5th gear lol so any knowledge or help will be greatly appreciated and thanks a lot!!!

s1 is a 90-91 cable transmssion, if you upgrade to a 92-93 cable transmission which is called a YS1, you can source parts from any 92- 01 b series transmission. although the YS1 is cable, it shares the same internals for the most part, as the newer hydro trannies.

well u gonnna spend the same in reblulding it but i think u should get a ls tranny has longer gears and perferct for superchagerd i say i went turbo on my hatch and wit the tranny it held up good but if u get a ys1 sum come lsd alread and there lile gsr trannys but jdm so its good if u switch but u have two optitions cuz a 90-92 da has gsr so find one of those tranny and those are ys1

well i definatly want my LSD cause im pushing 220hp with my B16 the way it is now. so i love my LSD and i would like to maintain that. so if i got a LS tranny how long would my gears be? cause i love the acceleration on my crx its freakin mad crazy. i can spin through 1rst 2nd and 3rd if i wanted to lol. and bark 4th and 5th. i woulden't be apposed to a longer gear ratio because when im at 80mph which is my interstate driving im at like 5000rpm and with vtec in at that point it sucks gas!!!! but i dont wanna lose my LSD. which would be more efficient? rebuild or new tranny? and what kind exactly if yall can be that specific... thanks
