Default swapping stock Si manifold with D16z6 (searched)

Hello all,

I'm looking to increase flow of the intake side of breathing with a d16z6 manifold. Recently, I was able to pick up a used Crane 251-0012 cam off ebay and want to open things up a little bit. Has anyone done a d16z6 manifold swap with good info? I've searched h-t and a couple of other websites that have reported conflicting info regarding what sensors will directly hookup and what wire/lines/hoses that need to be lengthened or modified. I want to keep the stock OBD0 injectors/wiring. Will I need the fuel rail from the d16z6 manifold or can I reuse the a6 one? The manifold I'm getting has the d16z6 throttle body and tps sensor, but other than that, it's pretty bare.

Thanks for the input!

Ok, I'm having a little trouble understanding your post.

I will need:

z6 fuel line

and

IAC? or can I reuse the a6 one on the z6 manifold?

IAT = idle air _____?

Thanks

you can use the z6 idle air control valve, use the si or z6 fuel line, use a a6 throttle body, use the z6 fuel rail, IAT intake it temp you can use either one. And of course some line modding but nothing major at all

Hey, Sleepingciv, do you have to use the 55mm A6 TB instead of the 56mm ZC one?

Thanks,

A6 throttle body will not bolt onto Z6 manifold - different bolt pattern

My D16Z6 IM has arrived. Here's my list of questons about putting it on an D16A6 head:
  • The fuel hose on the Z6 fuel rail has been cut so it would be best for me to just use the old A6 one. Does it just transfer over?
  • Do I need to do anything with my A6 injectors to use them?
  • Can I use my A6 throttle cable or do I need to get a Z6 one?
  • Do I need an A6 gasket or a Z6 gasket (or is there any difference)?

Thanks.
