Default Timing belt loose?!?

I adjusted the valves on the 92 CX the other day, and I noticed as I was turning the crank that the timing belt had a lot of play in it. I could literally see "slack" in it every time I moved the crank. The only Honda motors I've messed with so far are B series, and the timing belts have always been tight on those. Does it sound like the belt is loose, or is this typical of SOHC? If it's loose, I'm going to get in there and tighten her. Thanks.

Tighten up the tensioner just in case..don't wanna slip a tooth or 2 when you're driving hard..could do some bad things...
