Default lsd trans...

im planning on getting a a j1 trans and puting a lsd in that. so if i put a lsd in what parts should i change in the trans any seals ect??

also were could i get those parts??

will the mfactory lsd work with this trans??

ISB/seal, axle seals, diff bearings, any bearings/hubs/sliders/synchros/gears/forks that need to be replaced. A complete rebuild is really not a job for a first timer.

MFactory LSD will work.

well im not planing on rebuilding it i just wana put the lsd in and anything to do with the lsd to change...i dont wana mess with the gears to much.

and i just called mfactory and the lsd dont fit only ys1 trans.

ya i called them and thats what they said so idk...

so what should i replace when taking out the diff?? not anything todo with the gears un less theres seals and stuff??

I'll have to dig through my papers to see what all I did to that trans.

You need to check stuff on the gears themselves. Doesn't do any good to keep a gear if it is going to cause you problems.

well from looking at info on taking apart trans case dont look to bad the only prob. ill probbly have is setting the play on the lsd... cause i have a press and all the tools just what the parts to use to in stall the lsd, is there any seals for the lsd??

only the axle seals. all you need is a set of feeler gauges to install the LSD
