Will this B16 set up work?Just need a little help..thnks
I picked up a b16a2 from a 2000 si to build ..I want to go turbo for sure..but im a college kid on a budget n all...My buddys suggested instead of some expensive turbo grab a td05h or dsm turbo and just get a manifold fabricated since i know someone who can and will do it..or i would like to get a precision turbo since they are very close to my house they could help but how does this set up sound?
arp head studs
arp rod bolts
precision or a dsm turbo ..since everybody does t3 t4 i wanted to b kinda unique
forged 9:0:1 JE pistons
eagle rods
Dont know what cams to use?
Type R valvetrain possibly? or Skunk2 retainers &springs
I already bought aem tru time cam gears for real cheap
port and polish job at Auto Stores machine shop my neighbor owns..
possibly a hondata s200
i already have a chipped p28 ecu
skunk 2 intake manifold
this is drivin me crazy so I need opinions.Thnk u very much

i dont find anything wrong with that set-up. a little hard to ask what everyone would recommend because you will get a thousand different answers based on our own preferences and experiences. for example, for myself and want i ran, a JG edelbrock victor x intake manifold instead of a skunk2 but the skunk2 was good enough for other people. what would help the most is telling us how much power you plan to make.
a tip i could give you for sure based on that list is about those aem tru-time cam gears, make sure they are NOT the 3-bolt design cause they were prone to slipping.
good luck
