Hey guys. Just randomly picked up a clean title 2000 civic SiR off craigslist for a real good price. Is there any difference between the SiR and the SI?? Real fun car to drive, seen something about them being made in Canada??

Also was looking to turn up the power a bit. Any suggestions in Intake / Header / Exhaust?? Ebay has some nice stainless pieces for Cheap!! Should I get the car tuned after words? (TopSetup is pretty close by). Thanks!!

 

From what I've read, in Canada the Si was the American EX, and the SiR was the American Si. Not really sure if that's right though.

 

The SiR came std with ABS, also came with daytime running lights as well as an extra color (VSM).

Yes, the chassis code of a Canadian SiR will be EM1, just like the USDM Civic Si.

There was another thread talking about this earlier too. Well, about the Si/EX, but it had similar information.

 

usdm si = cdm SIR b16a2
usdm EX= cdm Si d16y8

 

Any idea how much its worth? Clean title, Black, 2000, 50K miles. Bone stock minus intake / exhaust.

 

Going to be worth about the same. It's not super rare or anything.
