I would go Turbo: Many have pioneered the turbo trail before on everything from an extra 30hp, all the way to 600+ monsters. It is a proven medium, with lots of information and support. Unless you're trying to be different, go with what is proven.

If you want reliability and simplicity of install and maintenance, go supercharger. If you have lots of money and time and patience, but want more reward, go ahead and turbo!

A well made turbo kit can be just as reliable or even more reliable than a supercharger. I don't think going with a supercharger is anymore easier or cheaper than turbocharging. I think the OP should post up what his goals for his car will be. What kind of hp goals does he have? Either route that he goes, tuning is going to be the biggest thing.

with this engine under 270 whp go supercharger but i will be expensive (talking about JRSC set up)
more than 270whp go turbo
also depend of the purpose of your car

turbo plain and simple they come in all shapes and sizes to fit your needs.

superchargers also come in all different shapes and sizes but i dont think you want to put in the fab time to fit a eaton M90 on a civic.

I had one on my ITR and it made 260 WHP. It was fun for a while but I'll never do another one. Make sure if you do a SC to buy so extra belts cause they don't last very long.

Do yourself a favor and install a turbo. You can always increase power with one but once your SC is maxed out, your screwed!

Thank you!

One other thing about the SC. If you like to do alot of heavy burst of acceleration you will run the intake temps out the roof! Like 230-260 degrees. My Jackson was very nicely ported (thanks Jay!!!) so it helped it out a good bit. But even with it ported if I stayed in it alot the intake temp would eventually climb to the sky.
