Default LS SWAP NOT STARTING PLEASE HELP!! SEARCHED!

I just dropped in an obd-1 b18b into my EJ2 and it will not start.

After time spent the following was done...
-Firing order is correct
-Dizzy cap and rotor were replaced
-Brand new duralast gold top battery
-New valve cover and transmission/starter ground cable
-Timing belt was checked and everything is right at TDC
-Fuses were checked and are good

The motor itself just cranks and fires (with loud popping coming from the header since it's not bolted up 100%) and has only started to idle once during a push start (it did idle).

It was also running perfect the day it was pulled...

My friend is a honda technician and said his LS swap needed to crank until warm/hot for it to fire but it wasn't done that yet.

Anyone else have this happen? I need this car for school/work and it's sitting in the ***-end of my neighborhood :[

You getting spark from all 4 plugs?

Pull them out and check while it's plugged into the wire - make sure they're all sparking.

take your spark plug wires out.
and put a screw drive in the boot
then let that metal part sit near a ground on the body.
crank the car.
make sure u see spark jump.
check all of them
if no spark in one of them
you have a problem with the wire.
if your timing is on. then u have air and compression.. pending valves aint bent
do u smell fuel?
if so. youve got gas.
all thats left is spark
your using the right ecu right?
check all taht.
if no spark is gettng to it.
you must make sure taht
A. no ignition coil fuses are blown
check hood and inside.
B. its gettin from your dizzy to your wires.
if there is power to your dizzy.
but not to your plugs.
then your coil is prolly bad which means u need a new dizzy.
umm i think its the same with the ls.
when u try to crank it.
do your RPMs sort of bobble? or does the needle not move at all?

The first day we did the swap we checked for the plugs sparking against the body and they were.
The ecu is a stock p75
There was an ignition fuse blown but I changed it last night.

The rpm's also stay still as it's cranking.. even when we try to push start it.

All the motor does is really pop out of the exhaust (loudly too..like gunshots). Everything else is there

well...
it sounds to me like some sort of firing mishap.
if your positive it timing is right on both cams.
try a compression test.
bolt the exhaust up. pretty snug..
your positive you put the dizzy on the right way...(i think it actually only goes on one but its been a while)
your VC is grounded right?check ALL grounds. amke sure the paint is scratched off and there good and clean.

The pop sound is a misfire issue. Either the timing is off, or the plug wires are on wrong. If you never messed with the belt, make sure the plug wires are right. Ive done it before too.... You have fuel right?

it was the timing......

i looked in the haynes book (not trusting online sources ) and it turns out that cyl 1 HAD to start on a certain point of the dizzy or else it wouldn't fire..

it runs perfect now

i'll try to post a picture of it later on

yeah even rywire didn't have any help

the exhaust isn't bolted up (open headers ftl) so it'll get welded tomorrow

but even now it runs stronger with my z6

the motor has 220k on it too! so hopefully if it holds up well enough this will just be my boost build
