Default Cleaning AEM Filter

Do high flow filters require cleaning with the cleaner and oil spray you buy seperately? Havent done anything with mine for about a year now =/ If so does the K&N filter cleaner work just as well as any? The reason i ask is because locally, K&N is available in town but anything else would have to be ordered.

Buy a K&N cleaning kit and follow the directions. Don't cheap out with a mixture that could compromise your filter material.

The K&N filter cleaning kit is safe for AEM/Injen filters, etc. Most of those are made by K&N, anyways.

You can use the K&N cleaner. I've used it many times before. Like he said, just follow the instructions.

AND MAKE SURE IT'S DRY BEFORE USING IT!

Yes, RTFM first.

Don't vaccum, just tap it out at an angle or use a soft brush. Key word: GENTLE.
