how wide a wheel can you fit on EK?
That's all offset chief. I've had 17x7 on my teg and Civic and had no problems, but then again, I have the proper offset. What's the offset on those, 10?
to make it kinda easy..think of offset as how staggerd the wheel looks on the car...there are wheels that are already made staggerd with the proper offset so that you can still obtain the same look but also keep near perfect camber and toe angle..go into the autocross and road race threads for examples of what im talkin about

I think i get what youre saying. Thanks for the simple explanation and where to look to more info

lmao. yeah, so far, ive gotten nothing but help from H-T users. And the FAQ's give me hours of awesome technical reading material
From what ive seen, people dont normally get flamed unless they did something to merit it hahah.

offset is the distance of the hub part of the wheel from the center of the wheel on the inside or the outside. Say the hub area is directly in the middle. That would be 0 offset. If the hub is far on the inside, giving a super fat lip look, that is negative offset. Going farther to the outside and thus shrinking the lip is heading in the direction of positive offset.
Here's a good explanation with pictures if you don't completely understand yet:

A 7 inch wide wheel will fit well under an EK wheel arch, provided it's a decent positive offset, such as +35 or +40

It will. +33 is about flush with the wheelwell on a 7 inch rim. +40 is about 7mm sunken in.
I've seen +0 on a em1. it's a whole lot of camber and 195s rubbing on rolled fenders. Looks good just sitting there though.
Edit: I have a pic actually -

These are BBS RS wheels.

i had +13 offset on a 6 in wide rim
the rears sat super flush!
the fronts stuck out a bit.
once i took my car off jackstands, the wheels cambered in and it sat better.
my fronts were still rubbing with rolled fenders.

Think about a 0 offset as the hub of the wheel is right on the centerline. So a 8'' wheel with a 0 offset would have 4'' of wheel poking into the fender and 4'' of wheel poking outward.
If you move the wheel hub towards the outboard end of the wheel from 0, you're going positive. That will "suck" the wheel into the fender as you go more and more positive.
If you move the wheel hub towards the inboard end of the wheel from 0, you're going negative. You will push the wheel out of the fender as you go smaller offsets.
Offset is in millimeters. +45 means the wheel hub is 45mm outboard from centerline (0). Get it?
Example: Wheels with a big deep dish or big concave will have a smaller offset as compared to the width.
Usually, with a 16X7, you should try something like a +40 to +45 or so offset for easy civic fitment.

... you sure those are 7" wide? The 25 offset should make them stick out farther and clear the arm with ease. Something isn't right here, I thought that looked stupid far out for a 16x7 +25.
