Turbo B16 - Quick oil question!
Hi Guys,
Recently had my B16 turbo'd, had the engine rebuilt, forged internals etc,
Anyway, I didn't think too much about the oil at the time and just dropped some 10w40 Part-Synthetic in there and trailer it to the tuning company...
The gave it a quick tune on the dyno but advised I take out the part-synthetic and drop in some crappy mineral which should seat the rings into the block.
I drove it back though which was a good 90 miles and drained the oil anyway as I had to sort out a couple of leaks.
What should I put back in there now? Mineral, Part-Synth, Full-Synth? Will it make a difference now as i'm sure after 90 miles the rings are either seated good or bad!
Whatever oil it is, it will only be in there for a couple hundred miles (also advised) and then i'll be going for full-synth high brand oil when it go's for it's PROPER TUNE :D
