Re: Stock B16 back from the dyno. (nsxmatt)
you have something wrong up top, you should pick up more than 17mph up top with that. you should be trapping like 118 in the 1/4 according to that 1/8th mile trap

am i the only one that thinks this setup is a bit unsafe? i mean, stock block, stock head pushing 370hp plus using nitrous. idk but good luck.
also, the hp to tq ratio seems pretty close considering a stock 1.6L. i assume it's the nos.
enough with the critics... lol. i've always debated throwing some laughing gas in my baby to feel the outstanding boner using the best of both worlds.

I ran 7.4@94 with a stock b16 Eg hatch with right at 250whp. It's all in the setup but his times are way off for power unless the engine is in a Ridgeline or a Odyssey.

wait, how much did the hatch weigh? to convert an 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile don't you divide your time by .65? Doesnt that mean that you went around 11.3-11.4 with only 250WHP

Fastest it went was 11.7@115. Stock b16, stock clutch, stock axles, 22" slicks, 92 VX hatch with full interior. View my past posts, tons of people here can vouch.

Re: Stock B16 back from the dyno. (nsxmatt)
Slicks were spinning in first, we hope to get a better time this weekend, will keep every one posted, Car is a full interior 90 civic DX 4dr. A/c is the only thing that was removed for the swap and the turbo. Seeing fow far we can take the b16 before Have another sleeved motor on the way, but having fun, and gaining exp along the way. Nitrous is there just to help spool the turbo up, but dame it makes a big difference on it.

I am not doubting that you went that fast, in fact your right about the fact that a lot of people cant drive and you launched good but with a B16 and a 57trim @10psi with what sounds like an open DP, shouldn't you be closer to the 300WHP range?

Re: (nsxmatt)
My previous build B16 ran T35@1.2 bar and a 45 shot of gas controlled via Hondata, you’ve just got to love that stuff, that turbo would be at full spool 3700rpm, with gas it was something else, loads of fun.
I wouldn’t want to run the same set-up on a standard engine and clutch though, that’s not nice, Mr Honda never intended the good old B16 to take that much abuse .

Re: (aztecracer1)
Do your shift into 5th?
Either way the trap is way down in the 1/8th and 1/4! my car weighs 2605 with me in it and no interior and traps 97 in the 1/8th and 122-123 in the 1/4... Given that info ive calculated that the car has about 370-380whp... STOCK GSR motor.. with probably around 220-230tq... when i dynoed 321whp i was trapping 113-114mph with 90-91mph 1/8th mile traps... so id deffinetly say something is wrong up top...shifting into 5th would lower the trap a little bit but not all the way to 109... i trap 119 with i shift into 5th on street tires...

Re: (B20luda)
Went to the track last night and did not get a clean run. Felt like the clutch was slipping, may be the problem of the low trap speeds.

Re: (aztecracer1)
Yea.. that 109 trap doesnt seem right. My turbo gsr, hatch, at 265hp went 13.0 at 110mph with drag radials (2.2 60ft ). I'm not trying to bash, but that's 100 more hp then i have. The trap has to be higher.
