well i had CEL# 3 (Map Sensor) for a while and yesterday i got some extra time to diagnose the problem. I found out there was no voltage from the with wire from the map sensor connector to the ecu and later found out there was a cut in the wire so there wasn't enough signal going through. Fixed that problem and cel when away.

Cel 3 only come on when the motor is cold. when i start the car it would want to stall and after about 3 seconds the IACV/FITV kicks in then the cel comes back on. but when i drive the car in mid afternoon when its warm the idle is good and no cel.

Now i know the weather/elevation effects air/fuel ratio so the Map Sensor is there to compensate for it, so how would i go about fixing this?

it only does it when the IACV kicks in. i would start the car in the morning when its cold then it would want to stall then the IACV comes on then the CEL #3. even when its warm out it would drive fine and idle nice then when i reach above 15mph the CEL would come on again?

Do you think its because of a dirty IACV? i only cleaned the screen but not inside the chambers. or maybe a bad IAT?
