cx's: Have a pint sized chunk of metal that has 8 valves, and only has 70 hp. The cx has no power steering, no sunroof, no sidemouldings, and has no AC (but comes with the option for AC), get above 34 mpg, have virtually no sound deadener, and no tachometer.

VX is always the lightest.

Alum. alternator mount, alum AC mount, lightweight flywheel (yet to weigh! guess at 14 lbs) lighter wheels, and other little things.

Everyone will crap a brick when they see the VX pistons.

Come on, Mista:

Honda lists the 1992 CX and the VX as the exact same weight, 2094 lbs. Are you saying Honda's full of it?

im tired of this question....cx and vx weighes the same but vx has lighter stock rims (8#'s each) and cx comes with rims/hubcaps so body weight wise without the rims/tires...cx IS lighter...and BOTH vx and cx has" no power anything/no ac/no ps/ 5 speed/no stereoand antenna/no side moldings/no sound deadoning tar/ one side view mirror...im sure imissing more but that'll give u an idea

Is the same Honda that lists a 4.25 FD for a VX tranny?

Why yes it is!

So, you're saying Honda is full of it. Show me 1992 identically prepped CX's and VX's, and that the VX is lighter, and I'll believe it.

HA !

This should be the question of the century !

If you are so concerned about weight, remember you only have to worry about how much the car weights after YOU are in the car.

Honda has been known to get their info mixed up.

Some manusla even listed the automatic FD's for the DX manul trannys.

This sort of info mixup is not found till you have all 4 years (92-95) factory manuals laid out on the floor of the dealership.

You'd thought I was a 8 year old in a library!

Thanks to local Honda parts department!

Any known errors in the 1992 Honda Civic Service Manual?

Oh, but what about 1992 CX and VX? They have consistently been listed as the SAME weight. Any evidence to the contrary?
