Default Quick year/engine question..

i've got a 91 civic dx hatchback..

it's got a carb'd d15b8 in it..

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the '91 civic's didn't come carb'd did they?

Trying to figure out what year model engine i have.. so i can order a carb rebuild kit or maybe just go to the junkyard and pick another up..

thanks in advance..

No not in the US.

Are you sure it's carbed and not DPFI it's a fairly common mistake.

You might be right..

I'll be more than willing to take a pic if you guys think it will help..

I cannot get this car to run right.. It only wants to run/drive at 3/4 throttle.. if you go full throttle it bogs down/no power..

alright here's the pic:

I bought this car not running.. put some plugs in it.. and shot a little starting fluid and viola.. running car..

Now as for the issues i can only drive 3/4 throttle or less.. if you go full throttle.. it bogs out and dies or just bogs.. no power..

i played around with the vaccum lines and it seemed to make a little bit of difference in how the car runs, but i don't have a diagram to go off of..

any ideas would be greatly appeiciated...

That's DPFI sir.

Hondas used side draft carbs, there should be 2 fuel injectors on it.

Check both injectors and timing first also look at your plugs.

My question is on #21.. at the end of it.. does it have to ''T'' off like in the pic.. cause the car is missing the piece it plugs into.. (the part on the firewall)
