hi, i did some searching and could not find an answer to my quetion, i got king bearings, could some 1 please tell me what the rod and main bearing tolerances are for a b18a1?

 

If you are gonna be doing any kind of engine assembly, get a Helms or at least a Haynes manual for all of your tolerance ranges and tq specs. You will find the bearing clearance specs on the block and crank. It is different for every motor.

All Main Journals except 3:
Standard 0.0009 to 0.0017 inch with a service limit of 0.002 inch max

Main Journal 3
Standard 0.0012 to 0.0019 inch with a service limit of 0.0024 inch max

Who makes King Bearings, and what size (color) are they supposed to be?

I used OEM color coded bearings on my mains and ended up having to tighten up one size on Journal #5.

I used ACL bearings on my Rods and that worked out perfectly because I had my rods resized after having ARP bolts pressed in.
