Default 92-95 corner light fitment issue..

in the process of re-assembling my hatch and having trouble getting the new corner lights to fit.. the headlamps fit no problems, but the corner light is a totally different shape even than the fender..

at first i thought it was bc they are 4dr corners, but i borrowed a 4dr one off a friends car and it fit even worse..

here are a couple of pics for reference. the fenders are stock, and the corners are jdm oem clears... please help!!

u sure its not sliding in right into the guide next to the headlight or the studs going into the holes in the fender?? i think your fender is not oem...if it is than it must have been damaged before or not repaired correctly.

yes, it is securely slid into the guide piece on the headlight, and i broke the tabs off the corner light to see if that was an issue..

if you look closely the corer is touching the fender at the bottom and top but the curve of the fender and the curve of the corner light are totally different..

and the fenders are 100% oem, they were on the car before the respray..

LOL judging by the pictures.... it looks like the passenger side corner light is what you are trying to fit on the driver side

in another words, it's upside down and on the wrong side of the car

again, just what it looks like to me from the pictures

i know you need the tabs.. but i was so frustrated i was willing to do anything to help it even close to fit..

and i cant find ANYONE here with a hatch or coupe to let me use a corner for 30 seconds..

edit: my stock corners went away over a year ago with the other stuff off the car lol

again, looks upside. are those corners replicas or OEM?

in the pic u have, there are the smaller vertical lines (much closer together and not as tall), they are in the top on your pic

in this pic below, those smaller lines are on the bottom, only reason why i say i think it maybe upside and could possibly explain why you had to break the tabs in ur frustration

here is another pic, hard to tell

Unbolt your headlight, then assmble the cornerlight/headlight combo and test fit it.

Hmm..Braxton this might be it. There's no way for the fitment to be that off with all parts being oem, so something is not right. I know that some guys with 4dr's are able to rock 2dr/3rd front bumpers without any real fitment issues, so maybe whoever had your car before you put 4dr fenders and 4dr amber corners on it? Does the passenger side have the same fitment problems?

i guess ill order a new set of 2dr stanley clears off ebay and hope they fit

took a better pic and used the passenger side outside in the light..

the tabs are in the fender and as you can see, there is no way its even close to fitting properly..
