Hi, I don't know a lot about this 1g talon turbo setup. I've got a '99 integra GS, and he offered me to buy it for $250 w/ shipping included. Without the exhaust manifold, since I can't use it. Does this sound like a good deal?

Anyone? How about, if you've got the td05-14b, how much did you pay for it?

 

those turbos are tiny and not really good for b series engines...plus u don't know what type of shape that turbo is in...the 1g talons are pretty old

 

Actually I won't be boosting very high at all, maybe between 5-8 psi of boost. So I don't think that I need a very big one. I'm mainly looking for quick spool up. Do you think for a goal of low 200 hps, this turbo would be the right size?

I think it would be a pretty decently sized turbo for an LS.. It should spool pretty damn fast. I have used many of these turbos on D-series motors.

250 is a bit on the steep side, tell him 100 bucks, for Turbo/Injectors/BOV/Intercooler.. now thats a decent deal..

It'll work, just get an HKS B-series manifold. The turbo should bolt up to that.

 

Actually the HKS T-25 Exhaust manifold is for the JDM T-25 Garret Turbo off SR20det's

It will not fit USDM DSM T-25's/14b's. The flange on the hks manifold is a rectangle design that is similar to a T-3. The DSM turbos are a round port. No one makes a manifold for B-series to bolt directly to a DSM turbo, it will be custom.

That turbo should definately be enough for 200hp. A 14b has taken DSM's to 12.04 in the 1/4 before. Hitting 12's with one happens all the time. It is rated at 405cfm at 15psi.

 

Uh, 12's because it has AWD. Probably be a mid 13 sec car in a FWD.

but also DSMs are much heavier than hondas. An LS with 15 psi (which the 14b can push just fine) and slicks should be easily in the 12s
