So i searched, and searched again, and couldn't find anything besides why is my h/l switch melting and why did my lights stop working... and i need to know this answer.

what is the white plug for, and is it used on the std/dx models? i did a semi dx conversion on my std hatch (added a hatch w the rear wiper) and am putting everything back together and am missing a plug i think. here's what it looks like:



soonest i will be able to cross reference w my donor car is saturday, since it's about 45 miles away from me as of now... which sucks but meh it is what it is.

edit: the switch shown is in fact the dx mfs (has two wiper switches, not one)

Just off the top of my head... if the car didn't have a rear windshield wiper originally, then my guess is the white plug is for that.

 

i thought that too, but the original mfs from the car has the white plug as well.
