I have a 92 civic dx hatch. The wiper switch is broken and needs to be replaced. I dont need the rear wiper. Can I install a wiper switch from a civic sedan. Would the front windshield wiper still work correctly or would it even fit at all.

It'll work. I have a Civic sedan wiper switch in my Integra. Works fine - no rear wiper needed.

You can use a wiper switch from any 92-2000 Civic or 97-01 CRV or 94-01 Integra. The CRV one will have the rear wiper switch and they are pretty easy to find in junkyards nowadays.
