2000 Civic EX "Re"Build Thread
Hey y'all, noob to the site but definitely not new to Hondas. Thought I'd use this thread to introduce myself and put some pics up of the re-build of my Civic. I acquired my 2000 Civic EX sedan about 3 years ago after totaling my '92 Accord into a drunk driver in an '80s F-150.
Unfortunately, the Civic hasn't been immune from poor drivers either - including myself. I've had to replace both driver's side exterior door panels once already due to a soccer mom who was unaware of how turning works when there are two turn lanes. Then I did some damage to the front and rear bumpers while under the influence (Yes, I know - I was an idiot!) Anyways, so far I've replaced the front and rear bumpers, and upgraded to a Type R style grill, headlights, and front lip. Some of the pics aren't so great, so bear with me...

rear end minus bumper
front end sans bumper/lights...
close up of reinforcement bar damage
'70s style one mirror look
can anyone spot the next thing to be fixed?

You guys are quick ones. Yes, I need to replace the drivers side rear door panel first. Then I'll dropping it (still trying to decide what spring/damper combo) and then I'm looking into some new rims...
Can't disagree with ya there. When I totalled my Accord, I took off as many parts as I could and the muffler was one of them. Then I must have hit a bump in my Civic or something cuz the stock muffler completely disconnected from the piping and was being held on by the hangers so I replaced the exhaust piping and had that muffler welded to it cuz I already had it. It doesn't remotely match the lines of the car but it works for now. Exhaust is also on the list of things to look into, but I wanna drop it because I'm F'in 4x4in right now...
