i wouldnt say so clean your iacv (idle air control valve) on the back of your intake manifold.. thats if your talkin about your idle is jumpin up and down
are you still having overheating problems?

ok so maybe I spelt it wrong sorry sporadic idoling yes but I filled it up with coolant the first time I filled it then just added some water to make it home.... its a jumpy idol not just a vacuum leak idol like up and down its all over now this morning when I started it up ran fine on a cold start till I drove to work but I will add more coolant to it but I don't think thatd be the problem.... as for how much water I added 3 lil arrowhead waters bottles 12 oz not sure headgaskets maybe 12000 miles on it...
You said it runs hot going up a hill I would lean towards a headgasket. If your filling that much fluid into it and dont see a leak, it could only be burning up. I would assume you cleaned the IACV when you had it off already. As far as the "Idoling" issue do you mean to say that its not hunting but rather extremely rough and low and gives you a great lag in throttle response. If thats the case...headgasket

so now heres the issue soon as i turn on the car wait for the check engine light to go off it never does and i cant take it past 3500rpm i did reset the ecu and i have a "custom" setup so to speak was a dual point 1.5l motor swapped to obd1 multi point 1.6 vtec.... running a po6 does anyone know the color of the two wires to bridge that will tell me the code the ecus throwing?
Im not positive I believe brown and green its a little connector on the passenger side thats by the a pillar and blower motor under the dash. Its the only one hanging there
k new info im throwing code 7 on the ecu.... and is there anything i need to do after checking the code (twisting the two wires together) do i need to reset the ecu? etc?
are you using a p28 or at least an obd1 ecu
first thing i'd do is check the wires going to you coolant temp sensor
i know it sounds fishy but just go with it

do u have a thermostat at all?
like i took mine out and have my fans runnin all the time
if u dont have one it could be causing u to over heat...sound dumb i know u would think that since water ehh coolant is always circulating it be cooler but since the coolant isnt staying as long in the radiator to cool down ur getting hot cooolant back into ur engine making it over heat...i had some problems with a buddys eg it over heated like crazy cus the cap couldnt hold any pressure and he didnt have a thermostat...

ok so im not entirely worried bout the overheating anymore I fixed that what im trying to figure out is the sporadic idoling and the 3500rpm cutoff im getting all with code 7.... but the crazy **** is if I reset the ecu "unplug and wait then plug back in" it goes away untill I really rap out the motor...... doesn anyone have advice for this issue? not overheating....
