Whats the use of the bottom red light on ek tailight

bought my car with a broken bulb jus replaced today but have no clue whats it for

im talkin bout the bottem red stripe

thats not the blinker or brake light is it? im not too familiar with hatch tails..

Either blinker or possibly a fog light since you posted a pic of a CTR. The USDM tails may differ.
