axels
i have 1999 itr motor with a 1997 itr trans. what kind of axels do i have to use? can i use b16 ones? i doubt it, but if i can, i already have a set thats why. help please
. thanks.
. thanks.
2. There were no USDM ITRs in 1999.
I wouldnt recommend using an axle from a weaker motor such as a B16...I would think the ITR axles would have to be slightly stronger than other DOHC VTEC motors, to support the higher hp output of the R motor. I would imagine they would work for awhile but I wouldnt expect them to last too long, especially if driven hard. And if you arent driving your ITR hard, then you shouldnt be driving it at all

And even then it only changes the outboard hub.

ok, so I stand corrected. doesnt make much sense to me. thats like fishing for whales with 5lbs test line. OK thats an exaggeration but still you see my point.
this is going into a 92 civic hatch......so the b16 ones ok? just asking because i still got a warranty on my old ones for my b16. i just wanted to go out and get a new set for this motor because it would be free
