ls/vtec....ls short block with vtec long block...direct bolt on or need custom work???

you use bolth of those parts but you need custom parts from diff motors and stuff to get it to the point were you are happy with it. like you need diff oil pump water pump stuff like that

Exactly. From his question, it seems like he is going to be tryin to run two blocks and one head... You'll just need a LS block with a VTEC head. You don't need a VTEC long block, just the head...

yes you will have to do more than just slap a vtec head on the ls block.
