Default help plzz

First off, thank to any1 reading this, but anyway, im new to the forum, and semi- new to hondas, i've had my 88 civ [automatic] for almost a year but i've finally decided to make it a project, i wanna hook it up, but honestly i don't know where to start. well i kno 1st and foremost, under the hood work comes first, ive been hearing suggestions like getting a brand ne air intake & exhaust system, and a couple other things[ tune up, spark plugs/wires etc.] I want another engine, but their pricey and idk which 1 to even consider getting. . . . .

am i heading in the right direction?

plz help if u can.

depending on how much you can get the transmission for it shouldnt be all that bad. I did a 5spd swap on my mustang but i'm not sure what all is involved for a honda. Obviously you'll need the 5spd trans itself. i imagine you'd need the manual passenger side tranny mount as well. you'll need stock linkages for a stick as well. and also a manual tranny ecu. most likely the center shift console from a manual as well, with the shiftboot and whatnot.

Start with your suspension. 90-93 rear disc, mc/booster and 40/40 prop valve.. Then you can go with the mini me swap; zc vtec or d16 and turbo that puppy.
