painting my entire floor panel need advice
well i'm doing a ground up project on a $200 shell i found. topic will be posted soon in the integra forum with pics of progress. but i have the entire floor panel stripped and sanded. i beleive i need to go with a epoxy primer because i do have some bare metal? do i need to use a sealer? then i want to paint it the color i want to paint the car. i'm not going to clear it because most of it will be covered. i'm not worried about it being perfect just decent. i'm leaving the outside to the pro's but want to take care of this myself. so any advice would be much appreciated. thanks.
i had a water leak and was worried about my floor board rusting, painted it with rust bullet with a brush and it was easy and looks good, and now i dont have to worry about it ever rusting, hope this helps
I would prep it really good, epoxy sealer (wet on wet method), flash, then single stage.
Using single stage will be more durable since it has clear and hardener.
