Default still need to retard timing 2 degrees

I was trying to time my y8 but the distributor would not turn more and ended at about 10 degrees instead.
It seems that the distributor bolt slot was preventing the me from turning it more so I dremeled the hole like 2mm in each hole.

now I have it timed at 12 degrees but I cannot adjust my idle.

first why did you do this?

second what is your setup?

third your tbelt might be on right or you have the cam/crank timing off.

this seems like a bigger problem then drilling out your dizzy....

I was able to only get 10 degrees and unable to get the specified 12 degrees. Since the dizzy could not turn anymore I removed a few mm of material so I could get the 2 degrees more.

D16Y8, competition cam, competition hd springs, competition titanium retainers, 4-2-1 headers, 2.5 piping out to a CTR muffler, alumnium flywheel, 6 puck clutch, gearspeed rebuilt transmission.

The timing belt is installed correctly and timed with the cam and crank.

I'm having major stalling at stop signs and by just pressing in the clutch changing gears.
