I spilled a qt of oil in my floor board the other day so im taking my carpet out this weekend. I was wondering what the best stuff to use would be to remove the sound deffener from under the carpet. Might be a stupid question but id just like to know before I get started. Thanks.

 

alright it was a stupid question ill figure it out lol.

 

put dry ice on it and then hit it with a hammer. No joke.

or you can scrape at it with a putty knife and hammer

 

Where do I get dry ice? Is it expensive?

 

hmm i dont know where you would get it in your area. But its not expensive.

 

I'll look around for some but if I cant find any do you have any other ideas?

 

walmart should have it. But you can get it off with anything flat to get under it will work

I dont know if you have a Kroger around your area, but they have dry ice where I live.
