whats up you guys i've searched but havnt found much on skunk2 pro2's
but I have a very good deal on a set and I am wondering if it will be overkill for my setup or not.

I have a first gen integra with an ls-vtec
it has jdm itr pistons, stock b16 head, arp rod bolts, shot peened ls rods itr oil pump/water pump etc.
it put down 174whp 136wtq with just a basemap

if i got these i would be getting the matching pro series retainers and valvepsrings and some adjustable cam gears...

so will these be optimal for me..or will it be too much cam for it

You can stick any cam in a motor and make power.. Where and when is a different question..
I personally want to upgrade from my s2s2's to the pro2's but i haven't had the money to find a good priced set on the cams..
I personally think it will be too much of a cam for that setup.. You can run it.. But you'll have to rev it alittle higher then what you would with pro1's I'd look more along the lines of the Pro1's, s2s2's , BloxC, rocket m22x. These cams you can rev to a good range but still keep the mid range and idle and low end... I'd say try the pro1's, if that works maybe you could get away with the pro2's

Keep in mind the pro2's are not your regular cam..
Contact Donf, b19, cleanrice, rocket and the other cam gurus around for information

 

the blox cams look good but, they don't have much info on them and also i'm skeptical of them, I've always thought of them as an ebay company, so can anyone back up their products?

the pro 2's generally prefer larger displacing set ups(2.0L+)...you will make more power but you wont be getting the full potential out of these cams....

 

i believe that pro2's only will work well in a very aggressive 1.8L . they worked good for me, but i would like to try some pro1's if the oportunity ever presented its self. as for you pro2's may not be ur best choice unless u wanted to upgrade other parts as well.

 

if any one needs pro 2 i have some for sale for a b motor only have 500 iles on them i wanted 450 obo

Not to thread jack but i will trade you my s2s2's for the pro2's.. i have no money at this time, hurricane did me in pretty well.

 

Your motor doesn't seem to have enough compression to make power off the pro 2's. skunk2 stage 2's might be a better choice..
