im rebuilding a d15b. full rebuild and was wondering wich USDM engine can i use the parts out of! iheard the d16z6 is very similar but how similar is it! guid me to the thread i serched but couldnt find anything similar!thaks

 

like what part? the z6 is a 1.6 of course and the d15 is a 1.5

 

ones jdm d15b, one usdm d16z6; both have vtec, p28 will run both, d15b has 130hp if i remeber correctly compared to 125hp of the z6.the d15b has a more aggresive cam i beleieve; hope that helps.

 

im looking for gaskets, valve train and oil pan similarity. if the parts of the d16z6 or another usdm engine would fit the d15b

not positive on this but i think a usdm engine that would fit the d15b would be a d15b1/2 like the oil pan and most gaskets.

any d series gaskets will work on you d15.
