Default Muffler question

hey I got a B20 Vtec I just installed my Hytech Try Y header and I did a 2.5" straight pipe with the test pipe from the header back and I have a skunk 2 megapower muffler and the muffler is WAY raspy. Just wondering what a decent muffler would be to get??. Thanks for ur time.

B19coupe made like 270 hp all motor with a stock type R muffler. He also told me that I could probly see the same results with a stock 06 Si muffler.

resonator on the mid pipe will help cut the rasp if you don't have one.

Back pressure isn't your problem, lack of sound deadening devices is.

Ya I just installed my hytech replica header on my ls/vtec thursday and damn did it make a huge difference. But like you said, its all raspy now. But that is expected. I also did a 2.5" straight pipe with no cat, no resonator and a tanabe hyper medallion axle back.

I also want to quite my setup. I'll probably put a resonator on as well.

x2 buy a $40 dynomax 2.5" resanator.

search dynomax glasspack and you'll find one.
