1997 civic ex coupe idle problems

hello everyone this is the first time i have ever used a forum and i have no idea what i am doing lol

but basically me and my dad put a d16y8 into my '97 ex but we dont know the specifics about the engine like if its from another 97 or not but anyways, ive been running into some idling problems when my car is cold.

also things like putting the windows up and turnin the headlights on and the a/c effect the idle speed.

anyhelp is great

the only thing is that i dont kno how to use this forum so any help on that would be great too

what is wrong? how high/low is it idling? every plug and hose connected? your previous engine in that car was a d16y8. what do you want to know? are you throwing any codes, what ecu are you using?
