Click clacking on accel or load
92 civic with a d16b7-
It seems on acceleration or under load, maybe 40% throttle I get a clicking sound. The kind of clicking/clacking when you bog out shifting too soon. I was thinking it could be the PCV, what do you guys think?
For some reason I think it maybe connected to my 30mpg..
Thanks.
It's not that no one likes this thread. It is the MOST honda-techers dont have the ability to ansewr such a techinical question. Most here are busy looking @ how to spray paint their ghetto ricer kits flat black.
Ill test the pcv and update after

if it is not throwing any cels then it is not the o2 so you have that right. trying pulling the distributor cap and clean the contacts on the rotor and cap with some steel wool. make sure all plug wires are on a plug. then check the pcv.
let me know if that works or does anything at all.

I also had a feeling it was ignition related. Decided to simplify the diagonsis by swapping over another dist. from a normally operating civic. Spark plug wires are connected tightly and plugs are recently changed.
whoever did my timing belt had it off by about 10 degrees, its ok its fixed and I got a new o2 sensor installed and the engine runs like it is supposed to.
have u checked ur Valves??? or lifters??? i had the same clacking sounds and then i adjusted the valves to Stock pressure and sounds AWSOME NOW!
